What happened: Kessler finished the possession with a layup to open his Los Angeles scoring account. Reaves operated as the ballhandler to create the opening.

Why it matters: Los Angeles is building its 2026-27 core around Doncic, Reaves and Kessler. Early pick-and-roll reps offer a first measure of that fit.

What to watch: Watch whether the pairing gets extended preseason minutes together. Continued reps will shape the opening rotation.
