What happened: Rays manager Kevin Cash spoke with Tom Verducci ahead of World Series Game 4 regarding the first three games of the series and what he needs from pitcher Griffin Jax tonight. Cash acknowledged Tampa Bay is up against it facing an 0-3 deficit while expressing confidence in his club's ability to keep fighting.

Why it matters: Milwaukee stands one win away from capturing its first World Series championship, leaving the two-time American League champion manager with no margin for error in pitching deployment. Jax, who transitioned into the Tampa Bay starting rotation in July, steps in with the Rays' season on the line.

What to watch: Jax takes the mound tonight in Game 4 as Tampa Bay looks to avoid a sweep and extend the World Series to a fifth game.
