Griffin Jax hits the showers for #Rays after Brayan Rocchio singles to right. Tyler Wells on for Tampa Bay Via @RuiterWrongFAN on X

What happened: Tampa Bay removed Griffin Jax after Brayan Rocchio singled to right. Tyler Wells entered for Tampa Bay in the fifth inning.

Why it matters: Mid-game bullpen moves carry extra weight in October with every baserunner shifting leverage. Tampa Bay turned to Wells to limit damage and preserve late-inning options.

What to watch: Wells inherits Rocchio aboard with the middle innings underway. The next outs decide whether Tampa Bay stays within reach.
