What happened: Kiki Iriafen drew a public push for both All-WNBA and All-Defensive honors as year-end award cases sharpen. The dual mention frames her as a candidate for impact on both sides of the floor rather than for one ballot alone.

Why it matters: That kind of two-way case can elevate a strong season into year-end recognition, especially as postseason attention narrows onto top performers. It also extends momentum for the same Kiki Iriafen who made her second WNBA All-Star team earlier this season.

What to watch: Year-end ballots and postseason honors announcements will decide whether that late push turns into a place on either team.
