What happened: The Indianapolis Colts agreed to terms on a two-year, $35 million contract extension with defensive tackle Adetomiwa Adebawore. The agreement features a $13 million signing bonus and $22.5 million in new money.

Why it matters: The agreement secures the interior defensive line after the Colts told teams the defensive tackle is staying ahead of the league trade deadline. Adebawore, selected in the fourth round of the 2023 draft out of Northwestern, locks in a multi-year commitment as Indianapolis works through a 2-6 start to the 2026 regular season.

By the numbers: Adebawore has made 19 tackles with four sacks in 2026 through eight games.

What to watch: Indianapolis enters Week 10 seeking to halt a four-game losing streak following a 42-7 loss at Jacksonville.
