What happened: Montreal Canadiens forward Kirby Dach missed Monday's practice due to an illness. The team announced his absence ahead of the session.

Why it matters: Dach entered the fall looking to solidify his place in the lineup after battling for an opening-night roster spot during September camp. His availability remains key for Montreal's forward depth during the 2026-27 regular season.

What to watch: The Canadiens will evaluate Dach's condition before their next regular-season matchup.
