What happened: New York signed Dink Pate to an Exhibit 10 contract on Saturday before immediately waiving the former G League Ignite guard. The procedural move grants the organization his returning rights for its Westchester affiliate.

Why it matters: Pate recently withdrew from Providence after failing to receive NCAA clearance following three professional seasons in the G League. Retaining his affiliate rights gives the Knicks developmental depth in the backcourt without using a standard 15-man roster spot ahead of the 2026-27 season.

What to watch: Pate is slated to report to Westchester for G League training camp later this month.
