What happened: Pittsburgh placed wide receiver Roman Wilson on injured reserve Saturday, sidelining him for a minimum of four weeks, per Adam Schefter. The move follows earlier reports that a Week 5 finger injury would keep Wilson out multiple weeks.

Why it matters: Placing the 2024 third-round draft pick out of Michigan (84th overall) on injured reserve frees a spot on the 53-man roster while leaving Pittsburgh thin at wide receiver entering Week 6. Under league rules, the designation requires a four-game absence before he can be activated.

What to watch: Pittsburgh will lean on active-roster depth and practice squad elevations at wide receiver over the next four games until Wilson's minimum reserve window concludes.
