What happened: Kobbie Mainoo has officially signed a new contract with Manchester United that runs until June 2031. The deal follows an agreement reached yesterday and was finalized today at the Carrington training ground with the player's family present.

Why it matters: Securing Kobbie Mainoo long-term is a foundational move for United's future midfield stability. The 21-year-old has become an indispensable starter, and this seven-year commitment removes any speculation regarding interest from rival European giants.

What to watch: Manchester United will release an official club announcement later this week. Mainoo will remain a focal point of the starting lineup for the final matches of the 2026 Premier League season.
