What happened: The Athletic's third NHL trade board puts two-time Hart Trophy winner Nikita Kucherov at the top of its Big Board. The list already featured Olympic and Stanley Cup champions, Norris winners and a Conn Smythe winner. Kucherov requested a trade from Tampa Bay on Oct. 30 and will not re-sign with the club.

Why it matters: Tampa Bay is publicly holding its position. Per Friedge, GM Julien Brisebois said in a team statement that the Lightning have "unequivocally no intention of trading Nikita." Kucherov tied Steven Stamkos for the most points in 21.

What to watch: Tampa Bay's no-trade stance is the position to track as other clubs weigh their interest.
