What happened: The same Kyle Hamilton who topped PFF's 2026 preseason safety rankings holds a three-stop cushion atop the position through six weeks of the regular season. Baker pairs his eight stops with an October 4 interception during the opening stretch of the campaign.

Why it matters: The leaderboard spans nearly a decade of draft classes, grouping 2016 fifth-overall pick Ramsey and 2017 36th-overall selection Baker alongside 2022 14th-overall pick Hamilton and 2025 35th-overall selection Emmanwori. Baker entered the year slotted at No. 75 on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2026, while Emmanwori has matched the veteran pacesetters in his second pro season.

By the numbers: Since entering the NFL in 2022, Hamilton ranks first among all defensive backs with 31 tackles for loss and third at the position with 20 quarterback hits.

What to watch: Week 7 regular-season action kicks off Thursday as Hamilton, Baker, Ramsey, and Emmanwori look to build on their early-season production near the line of scrimmage.
