What happened: Public support in Philadelphia centered on quarterback Jalen Hurts on Thursday while he remains away from the field. Management held off on making a formal roster move after ruling him out on Friday ahead of the Week 6 slate.

Why it matters: The blood clot absence alters the trajectory of the quarterback position in Philadelphia after Hurts played 16 games in 2025. Selected 53rd overall out of Oklahoma in the 2020 NFL Draft, Hurts completed 294 of 454 passes for 3,224 yards, 25 touchdowns, and six interceptions in 2025.

What to watch: Philadelphia awaits the next official medical update and practice participation report to determine Hurts' availability.
