What happened: Luka Doncic played 36:45 and Walker Kessler logged 32:45 alongside Austin Reaves before the Los Angeles Lakers travel to Intuit Dome for the second night of a back-to-back. Doncic finished as the game-high scorer in the defeat to the Portland Trail Blazers.

Why it matters: Extended workloads for three starters in a seven-point loss put rotation management in focus for the quick turnaround. Los Angeles previously sat Reaves and Kessler in Sacramento earlier this month.

What to watch: The Lakers travel to Intuit Dome on Wednesday for the second leg of their back-to-back set, where pregame availability reports will clarify starter workloads.
