What happened: Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson addressed his recovery for the first time since sustaining what he described as a "very, very, very, very, very painful" high-ankle sprain on Oct. 4. Jackson is officially listed as questionable after missing multiple games in October, with backup Tyler Huntley stepping in to start during his absence.

Why it matters: Jackson's availability defines Baltimore's ceiling following an Oct. 25 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals by a 35-13 margin. Drafted 32nd overall out of Louisville in 2018, the franchise quarterback has dealt with recurring lower-body ailments that have repeatedly interrupted the Ravens' offensive continuity in the AFC playoff race.

By the numbers: Baltimore averages 8.7 wins in seasons when Jackson misses four to five games, per ESPN. In 2025, Jackson appeared in 13 games and completed 192 of 302 passes for 2,549 yards, 21 touchdowns, and seven interceptions (as of Sept. 29, 2026).

What to watch: Jackson is believed to be close to 100 percent and is expected to play Sunday when the Ravens face the Buffalo Bills.
