What happened: LaMonte Wade Jr. connected for the first grand slam of his career, driving in four runs for the Houston Astros. The hit came as Houston looked to build on offense against Texas.

Why it matters: The slam adds a career milestone for Wade, who has been part of Houston's lineup mix in recent weeks. Houston enters the stretch at 46-50 on the season, on a two-game losing streak, and looking for offensive boosts like Wade's slam to help close the gap with the division-leading Rangers.

By the numbers: Houston is 46-50 with a scoring average of 4.5 runs per game and has dropped its last two. The Astros and same LaMonte Wade Jr. who exited a June 9 game with hamstring soreness after an RBI double have split their recent head-to-head meetings with Texas, including a 9-0 win on May 25.

What to watch: Houston looks to carry the offensive output forward as the Astros continue their series with Texas.
