What happened: Larry Fitzgerald said the Cardinals could have a "miraculous turnaround" this season and still land fourth in the NFC West. He pointed to the Seahawks coming off a Super Bowl, the Rams' trade for Myles Garrett, and a healthy 49ers roster as reasons the division is unusually strong.

Why it matters: Fitzgerald's read frames the Cardinals as facing one of the toughest division outlooks in the league heading into the season, with a reigning Super Bowl champion and a 49ers team he described as healthy both standing in the way. The Rams adding Myles Garrett signals a division arms race that raises the bar for Arizona regardless of its own improvement.

What to watch: Watch how the Rams deploy Garrett and whether the 49ers stay healthy into the season as the NFC West race takes shape.
