What happened: Shooting trainer Lethal Shooter said on The Kevin O'Connor Show that Washington will reach the playoffs this season. He tied the jump to No. 1 pick AJ Dybantsa leading Washington in 2026-27.

Why it matters: Washington enters the 2026-27 preseason centered on a rookie-led reset. A playoff berth would mark an early turn in that rebuild.

What to watch: Washington continues preseason before opening the 2026-27 campaign. Dybantsa's early workload and rotation fit are the next markers.
