What happened: Clifford went unselected in the 2026 NFL Draft after appearing in 52 college games. He previously received a minicamp invitation this spring.

Why it matters: The deal gives Clifford a late opportunity to compete for a roster spot before the upcoming season. His college experience included special-teams snaps, adding another area for evaluation.

What to watch: His training-camp workload and preseason usage will show where he stands in the receiver competition.
