Two teams. One Cup 👑 The @nyliberty and the @LVAces are set to battle in the 2026 WNBA Commissioner’s Cup Championship

What happened: The New York Liberty and Las Vegas Aces are set to meet in the 2026 WNBA Commissioner’s Cup Championship on June 30 at 7 p.m. ET. New York will host after securing the stronger qualifying position, and the Liberty also closed Thursday with a confirmed 96-95 final win.

Why it matters: The matchup puts two of the league’s highest-profile teams into the WNBA’s in-season title game. New York enters with an eight-game winning streak, while Las Vegas is back in the Commissioner’s Cup title game after clinching its berth this week.

By the numbers: New York is 12-5 this season, averaging 88.5 points and allowing 83.0 while riding an eight-game win streak. Las Vegas and New York are both past Commissioner’s Cup winners, and the June 30 game will decide the 2026 Cup champion.

What to watch: Watch for lineup and injury updates before June 30. The Liberty and Aces also have regular-season games before the Cup final.
