What happened: Yahoo NFL is tracking the same Lamar Jackson in Week 6 injury updates, David Montgomery and Treveyon Henderson in one Week 6 report. Montgomery is listed as a name to watch for Detroit after handling 158 carries last season. Henderson left Week 5 with an ankle injury and did not return.

Why it matters: Montgomery ran 158 times for 716 yards and 8 touchdowns in 17 games in 2025 with the Lions. That proven short yardage production shapes how Detroit finishes games. New England can rotate Rhamondre Stevenson as a lead back if Henderson misses time against the Jets.
