What happened: Derrick Barnes and Malcolm Rodriguez handled every first-team linebacker snap during team drills alongside Jack Campbell. Ben Bartch and Levi Onwuzurike were limited to warmups and individual work.

Why it matters: Detroit practiced in shells, shifting much of the evaluation toward the passing game and expanded roles. The uninterrupted work gave Barnes and Rodriguez an early foothold in the linebacker rotation.

What to watch: The next practices will test whether Barnes and Rodriguez retain those first-team roles as camp intensifies.
