What happened: ESPN Brazil reports that Fedchenkov has agreed to leave Flamengo when his contract expires in December. He has led the Brazilian club's scouting department since early 2025.

Why it matters: Liverpool wants to expand its recruitment reach in South America, a market where Fedchenkov has experience. His arrival would add to changes in the club's recruitment leadership following the departures of Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes.

What to watch: Fedchenkov's specific role at Liverpool should become clearer as his Flamengo contract nears its end.
