What happened: Luis Lara tracked down a ball in play for the second out in postseason Game 3. The out came after a leadoff home run opened the scoring. Lara has shown range in center field before.

Why it matters: The second out stalled any immediate answer after the early lead changed the inning math. Early outs protect starters and shorten high-leverage bullpen exposure in October.

What to watch: One out remains to close the inning and carry the early edge forward.
