What happened: Doncic buried consecutive 3-pointers to cross the 50-point threshold on Sunday. He added five rebounds and four assists before intermission, erasing a 40-27 opening-quarter deficit to claim a 74-71 halftime advantage.

Why it matters: Crossing the 40-point mark earlier in the outing moved Doncic into sixth place on the franchise all-time list for 40-point performances. The outburst sets an early tone in the 2026-27 regular season as Doncic regains peak form after returning from a season-ending injury.

What to watch: Doncic will look to close out the road contest down the stretch and sustain his perimeter efficiency through the opening week of the schedule.
