What happened: Dončić recorded 40 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, and six three-pointers in a victory Wednesday. The performance marked his third consecutive 40-point game and sixth straight outing reaching the 35-5-5-5 threshold.

Why it matters: The achievement breaks the previous NBA record set by Damian Lillard in 2020 for the longest such streak in league history. The scoring tear underscores historic offensive efficiency and sustained perimeter production.

What to watch: He will look to extend the record streak to seven games in his next regular-season contest.
