What happened: Sandro Mamukelashvili is cleared to play Friday night against the Portland Trail Blazers despite dealing with an illness. He was previously listed as questionable heading into the matchup. His availability keeps the frontcourt rotation intact for Friday's contest.

Why it matters: Mamukelashvili provides frontcourt depth as both sides enter the Emirates NBA Cup group play matchup on three-game winning streaks. Portland enters at 6-1 atop the Western Conference standings, while Los Angeles comes in at 7-2. Maintaining bench scoring will be key against a Trail Blazers squad coming off a 132-119 road victory over Phoenix.

What to watch: The Trail Blazers and Lakers meet Friday night in Emirates NBA Cup West Group C play. Both teams look to extend their respective three-game winning streaks.
