What happened: Matt Olson has been named the 2026 National League Gold Glove Award winner at first base. Rawlings announced the honor on Monday after Olson was named one of four finalists from Atlanta in October.

Why it matters: The selection represents the fourth Gold Glove of Olson's career. The award reinforces his defensive pedigree at first base as postseason hardware is finalized.

What to watch: Major League Baseball will announce the Platinum Glove winners and remaining major postseason awards later this month.
