What happened: Dallas coach Dusty May said Cooper Flagg is a gametime decision for tonight's game at Miami and expects him to play. Flagg sustained a mild left shoulder sprain Friday night in Indianapolis.

Why it matters: Flagg is the reigning Rookie of the Year and central to the Dallas rotation. Holding the absence to one game would keep early-season continuity intact.

What to watch: His status will be confirmed around tip. Any minutes restriction will clarify once the lineup is set.
