What happened: Kylian Mbappe surfaced on Instagram, a post flagged by Fabrizio Romano and amplified by Real Madrid fan accounts including @MadridXtra and @TouchlineX. The activity came as Real Madrid trailed 2-0 in their match, with supporters parsing the timing of the post. No statement on his fitness status or return timeline accompanied the upload.

Why it matters: Mbappe's availability is the dominant storyline around Real Madrid's run-in, with earlier reporting that he had cleared medicals ahead of El Clasico setting expectations that have not yet been met on the pitch. Every social media appearance is now scrutinized for clues about his readiness, and the absence of a clear comeback date is fueling fan frustration. The recovery watch carries weight for title and Champions League calculations.

What to watch: Watch for an official Real Madrid update on Mbappe's training status and matchday availability. Any concrete return date will move the narrative beyond social media speculation.
