What happened: The cornerback says he has rediscovered his love for football since settling in Los Angeles. The March deal sent four draft picks to Kansas City.

Why it matters: The move gave Los Angeles a two-time All-Pro for its secondary and ended McDuffie's four-season run in Kansas City. His transition now moves from offseason adjustment to an on-field test.

By the numbers: McDuffie started 56 regular-season games and 10 playoff games for Kansas City, totaling 246 tackles, three interceptions, 34 passes defensed, eight forced fumbles and 5.5 sacks.

What to watch: McDuffie's role and inside-outside usage will come into focus when the 2026 regular season begins.
