What happened: On All The Smoke Unplugged, Matt Barnes asked Willie McGinest about Philadelphia's handling of Jalen Hurts' blood-clot absence. McGinest said only Hurts and those involved know the full handling and noted the NFL said the situation was handled above board. Barnes raised talk that Hurts stayed awake about 36 hours in London before playing.

Why it matters: McGinest said team doctors face competing duties to the club and the player and urged second opinions from outside specialists. Barnes questioned how a quarterback could lead after roughly 36 hours without sleep across an eight-to-ten-hour time change.

What to watch: McGinest said further disclosures will determine whether anyone faces discipline over the episode.
