What happened: Green Bay Packers safety Xavier McKinney said the group is here to compete for 60 minutes. His comments appeared in NFL Wake-Up Call at The Athletic. The message followed Green Bay playing a complete home game in Week 6.

Why it matters: McKinney ended an opening drive with an interception this season. His all phases leadership has been praised inside Green Bay. That standard is why this defense looks built for January.
