What happened: Green Bay Packers edge rusher Micah Parsons is inactive for the scheduled prime-time meeting with the Dallas Cowboys. Green Bay did not expect Parsons to practice leading into the contest while he remains on the physically unable to perform list.

Why it matters: The absence keeps Parsons off the field against the franchise that drafted him out of Penn State before trading him to Green Bay. Both clubs enter the regular-season matchup seeking defensive stability without the pass rusher in the lineup.

What to watch: The Cowboys and Packers kick off their scheduled prime-time matchup at 0-0 while Green Bay awaits Parsons' activation from the PUP list.
