What happened: Tommy Carr found JJ Buchanan for a six-yard touchdown to finish Michigan's opening possession. The score put the Wolverines ahead on their first drive of the game.

Why it matters: The opening-drive score establishes early offensive rhythm and sets the tempo. Converting immediately puts early pressure on the opposing defense to respond.

What to watch: Michigan looks to protect the early advantage as its defense takes the field for the first series.
