What happened: Mike Holmgren is once again under consideration for enshrinement in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The former head coach guided Green Bay to consecutive NFC crowns and the Super Bowl XXXI title during the 1996 and 1997 seasons.

Why it matters: Holmgren's tenure revived the franchise in the 1990s, snapping a multi-decade championship drought for Green Bay. Enshrinement in Canton would solidify his status among the defining sideline architects of the modern NFL.

What to watch: The selection committee will continue trimming the list of candidates ahead of the final ballot. The next class of inductees will be revealed during Super Bowl week.
