What happened: Mississippi State is expected to downgrade running back Fluff Bothwell to doubtful for Saturday's game at LSU, per ESPN's Pete Thamel. Bothwell is dealing with a lower-body injury after exiting the Alabama matchup following the opening drive. The move comes after Mississippi State initially listed Bothwell and quarterback Kamario Taylor as questionable earlier in the week.

Why it matters: Taylor is also being downgraded to doubtful with a foot and turf toe issue and is not expected to play in Baton Rouge. Losing both Taylor and Bothwell strips the Bulldogs of their top two offensive contributors heading into an SEC road game.

What to watch: Official pregame availability reports will confirm final active rosters prior to Saturday's kickoff at LSU.
