What happened: Nashville SC agreed to a new contract with defender Andy Najar. The agreement extends the defender beyond his previous option year to remain with the club long term.

Why it matters: Najar played a regular role along the back line as Nashville captured the Supporters Shield this season. Securing his future solidifies the defense as the club navigates the MLS postseason.

What to watch: Nashville SC visits FC Cincinnati on Saturday, Nov 7, with kickoff scheduled for 4:00 PM ET.
