What happened: The league published new Cup-specific court designs for all 30 teams. Group play opens Oct. 30, with each team playing four games inside six five-team groups. Knockout play starts Dec. 4 and ends with the Dec. 11 championship in Indianapolis.

Why it matters: The New York Knicks beat the San Antonio Spurs in the 2025 Cup final, a pairing that later previewed that season's NBA Finals. Moving the title game from Las Vegas to Hinkle Fieldhouse gives the tournament its first champion crowned outside Nevada.

By the numbers: East Group A: Pistons, Raptors, Magic, Bucks, Nets. East Group B: Knicks, Cavaliers, 76ers, Heat, Pacers. East Group C: Celtics, Hawks, Hornets, Bulls, Wizards. West Group A: Nuggets, Rockets, Suns, Mavericks, Jazz. West Group B: Thunder, Timberwolves, Clippers, Pelicans, Grizzlies. West Group C: Spurs, Lakers, Trail Blazers, Warriors, Kings. Knockouts begin Dec. 4; final is Dec. 11 at Hinkle Fieldhouse.

What to watch: Group play tips Oct. 30, including Minnesota hosting the Clippers in its Cup opener. Group winners and wild cards advance to the Dec. 4 quarterfinals.
