What happened: The league revealed custom courts for all 30 teams for this season's in-season tournament. The designs use bold colors with oversized team wordmarks on each side, primary logos at center court and the tagline "30 Teams. 8 Advance. 1 Champion." near the arc.

Why it matters: Cup play opens Oct. 30 and runs through Nov. 27 with six groups of five, with eight teams advancing to the knockout rounds. The quarterfinals and semifinals will be played in team markets before the Dec. 11 championship at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, the first title game outside Las Vegas.

By the numbers: East Group A: Nets, Pistons, Bucks, Magic, Raptors; East Group B: Cavaliers, Pacers, Heat, Knicks, 76ers; East Group C: Hawks, Celtics, Hornets, Bulls, Wizards. West Group A: Mavericks, Nuggets, Rockets, Suns, Jazz; West Group B: Grizzlies, Timberwolves, Clippers, Pelicans, Thunder; West Group C: Warriors, Lakers, Trail Blazers, Kings, Spurs. Format: 6 groups of 5; 8 advance.
