What happened: The update came from the NFL league meeting in Manhattan via NFL Network Insiders. The league voiced support for Philadelphia medical staff over its handling of Hurts blood clot.

Why it matters: Hurts completed 294 of 454 passes for 3,224 yards in 2025 with Philadelphia. That production is hard to replace midseason during the 2026 regular season. That gap is why his absence raises a real question about Philadelphia contender status.
