What happened: Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie Jalon Daniels made his third straight start against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2026 regular season. Pittsburgh Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers completed 327 of 498 passes for 3,322 yards with 24 touchdowns in 16 games in 2025.

Why it matters: Postgame respect from Rodgers points to preparation and poise beyond a short term fill in. Tampa Bay gains more from continued starts for Daniels than from reopening the quarterback search.
