What happened: The fine stemmed from Williams holding the ball toward a Giants defender after his touchdown last week. He also drew an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty during the scoring sequence.

Why it matters: The incident stayed in the news a day after Williams apologized for the taunting penalty. Dallas is 2-2 and on a two-game skid, giving the offense little room for avoidable mistakes.

What to watch: The next check is whether Dallas avoids another discipline issue in Sunday's scheduled game. Williams will be under added scrutiny the next time he reaches the end zone.
