What happened: Collins secured a 42-yard pass downfield during Sunday's NFL Network broadcast. The gain moved the offense into scoring range immediately ahead of its first touchdown of the afternoon.

Why it matters: The conversion extends a run of tight-window play from Nico Collins, who previously led the NFL at 9-for-9 on contested catches. Drafted 89th overall in the third round in 2021, he continues to draw primary defensive coverage on vertical routes.

By the numbers: Per ESPN (as of Sept. 29, 2026), Collins totaled 71 catches for 1,117 yards and six touchdowns in 15 games during the 2025 season.

What to watch: Collins remains a primary downfield target as the 2026 NFL regular season continues.
