What happened: Royal changed his pledge Oct. 11 after attending Florida wins over Ole Miss on Sept. 26 and South Carolina on Oct. 10. He had been pledged to the Longhorns since November 2025 with LSU also pushing for a flip.

Why it matters: Florida's group ranks No. 5 in the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. All 56 blue-chip receivers are committed across 39 programs, with 13 holding multiple pledges.

By the numbers: Royal ranks No. 5 nationally and No. 1 among receivers. Elias Pearl sits No. 91 nationally, Tramond Collins No. 139 and Anthony Jennings No. 309. Texas A&M holds the No. 1 class nationally.

What to watch: Midseason evaluations continue through fall visits. National signing movement will settle the final order for the 2027 cycle.
