What happened: Orlando ruled Noah Penda, who drew an interference call after a ball struck his head two days earlier, out for the rest of Friday's 7 p.m. exhibition finale. Team public relations announced the in-game status change due to tightness in his right hamstring.

Why it matters: The early exit cuts short Penda's final audition before the 2026-27 NBA regular season opens next week. With the exhibition slate ending Friday night, the roster has no remaining tune-up games before opening-week rotations are set.

What to watch: Orlando's practice availability and initial regular-season injury report will provide the next update on Penda's status.
