What happened: Nolan McLean was named the National League Gold Glove winner at pitcher for the 2026 season. The selection advanced McLean to the ballot for the Rawlings Platinum Glove Award. Fan voting opened to decide the overall defensive honors across both leagues.

Why it matters: The award recognizes McLean as the top defensive pitcher in the National League following his first nomination as a finalist. A win on the Platinum Glove ballot would distinguish him as the premier defender at any position in the league.

What to watch: Platinum Glove voting will conclude before Rawlings announces the overall league winners.
