What happened: Cam Johnson carries a doubtful designation with a right ankle sprain for Wednesday's game after missing the previous matchup against the Pelicans. Alpha Diallo is sidelined for personal reasons, while Spencer Jones (bilateral hamstring injury management) and Julian Strawther (left knee sprain) also remain out.

Why it matters: Moving Johnson from out to doubtful puts Denver closer to regaining a key perimeter option after dropping Monday's game to the Golden State Warriors. Both clubs are navigating early regular-season rotation absences as New Orleans searches for its first victory of the 2026-27 campaign.

What to watch: Denver and New Orleans meet Wednesday, Oct. 28, with pregame warmups set to determine whether Johnson is cleared to play.
