No penalty but a fine surely coming. Via @WerderEdNFL on X

What happened: Officials flagged Warner for a hit on a defenseless receiver before waving it off, leaving no penalty enforced. The dispute centered on contact to the head.

Why it matters: Discipline for such hits is handled after games, leaving a possible fine as the remaining step. Warner entered Monday night central to the debate over the league's best linebacker.

By the numbers: Warner recorded 51 tackles in six games in 2025, per ESPN. San Francisco drafted Warner in the third round in 2018, 70th overall out of BYU.

What to watch: Any further discipline would come through the league's postgame review. San Francisco continues its regular-season schedule.
