What happened: Shohei Ohtani broke a scoreless tie on Wednesday with his 15th home run of the season. The 427-foot blast to center field came on the first pitch of the bottom of the sixth inning against starter Drew Rasmussen.

Why it matters: The solo shot provided the game's first run in a tightly contested pitching duel. Ohtani's power surge continues to be a driving force for the lineup as he prepares to return to the mound as a starting pitcher later this week.

What to watch: Ohtani is scheduled to start on the mound in the series finale against the Rays.
