What happened: David Pagnotta said on Hello Hockey that conversations have started about Hellebuyck rejoining the club. He continues to want a move elsewhere. Pagnotta said teammates show little appetite for an easy reunion.

Why it matters: A starting goaltender in limbo complicates daily practice and game planning. An unresolved trade request keeps roster and salary-cap decisions on hold. A chilly reception risks on-ice chemistry if a return happens.

What to watch: Watch for practice participation and any concrete trade talks to clarify timing.
